David's Star with bells - Spain, 13th to 16th century The same symbol has been assumed in different cultures with meanings sometimes close, sometimes totally different. The hexagram – composed of two overlapping or interlaced triangles – could represent a duality or an opposition. Thus, she symbolized fire/water, masculine/feminine, good/evil, macrocosm=God vs. microcosm=humanity (Terra) or more abstractly, harmony and peace. Even if in the public consciousness this symbol currently seems primarily associated with Hebrew culture, it has coexisted throughout the millennia in all great cultures. David's Star		Vintage bronze bell, 5.25" high from Japan DŌTAKU (銅鐸) are Japanese bells smelted from relatively thin bronze and richly decorated. Dotaku were used for about 400 years, between the second century B.C. and the second century C.E. (corresponding to the end of the Yayoi era), and were nearly only used as decorations for rituals. They were richly decorated with patterns representing nature and animals, among which the dragonfly, praying mantis and spider are featured. Historians believe that DŌTAKU were used to pray for good harvests, as the animals featured are natural enemies of insect pests that attack paddy fields. (cf. Wikipedia)

Ganesha knows such a great deal is because he is considered Lord of the physical plane (Muladhara), one that, among other things, offers wealth or wealth. Those mountain is in Nepal, Kathmandu Valley In hindu mithology, Garuda was a half man, half bird creature. Garuda is one of the three principal animal deities in the Hindu Mythology, the other two being Ganesha (the elephant-headed god), and Hanuman (the monkey god). Origin: Nepal Measures 5 1/2" tall.
